FAQ

Everything you need to know before adding a special edition to your shelf.

How long will my order take?

Please allow between 4 to 10 weeks for your order to be created and shipped. If you need something by a particular date, message me before ordering and I'll let you know what's possible.

Will I have to pay import duties or taxes?

Books are generally exempt from customs duties, so most customers in the UK and US won't pay anything extra on delivery.

Customers in the EU may be charged their country's VAT on books, plus a small handling fee from the courier, when the parcel arrives. These charges aren't included in the item price or shipping cost and are the buyer's responsibility.

Are these official or licensed editions?

No, every design is my own original artwork (or based on public-domain works). These are handmade, one of a kind pieces created by me, not official published editions.

Every book I use is purchased new at full retail price, then carefully rebound by hand, so the author still receives their royalties.

Do you have social media?

Yes! you can follow me both on Tiktok & Instagram @abinderybyzara

Do you take custom orders?

Yes, I love a commission! If there's a book you don't see in the shop, or you'd like one of my existing designs in a different colourway, send me a message with the details and I'll get back to you with a quote.

Do you accept refunds, exchanges or cancellations?

Unfortunately, I'm unable to offer refunds, exchanges or cancellations. Every book is handmade and made to order just for you, with the books purchased and materials prepared specifically for your piece, so it can't be resold or undone once work begins.

If there's ever an issue with your order, please reach out and I'll do my best to make it right.

How should I care for my rebind?

Keep your books upright on the shelf, out of direct sunlight, and away from heat and moisture so the covers, foil and sprayed edges stay beautiful for years. Handle with clean, dry hands and wipe gently with a soft dry cloth if needed.
